Macrocarpa is a medium density wood that provides steady heat and easy ignition. It burns slower than Pine but faster than hardwoods like gum. It does tend to spark and pop — for this reason, we don’t recommend using Macrocarpa in an open fire.
Firewood is cut to approximately 300mm in length and should be stored in a covered, well-ventilated area to dry— ready for burning in winter 2026.
